Restharrow root, botanically Ononis spinosa, is also called cat thorn or singlethorn. It grows at medium altitudes up to 1500m and is found in large parts of Europe, Central Asia and North Africa. The shrub grows up to 60cm tall and can reach a root length of 50cm. Our organic restharrow root is a high-quality natural product that is obtained from the roots of the restharrow plant. Its scent is pleasantly earthy. The taste is mild and with a slight bitterness. Carefully cut and ready for use in various applications, this product is perfect for herbal teas, infusions or as an ingredient in creative recipes.
Cut restharrow root from organic farming. To ensure the excellent quality, the raw material is checked and bottled in our factory in Germany. Free from any additives. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Preparation:
Pour 1-2 teaspoons per cup (150ml) of boiling water over it and let it steep, covered, for about 30 minutes. The daily dose of 12g should not be exceeded.
