Linseeds are the seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum). The flax plant is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world and is grown for fibre and oil production (linseed oil, linseed pulp). Compared to brown linseeds, the seeds are particularly distinguished by their mild nutty taste and are excellent for refining granola muesli and yoghurt, but also for baking bread or garnishing salads.
