Goldenrods

Goldenrods are herbaceous plants up to 2 meters high with magnificent yellow-gold inflorescences that bloom in late summer. Originally the plant comes from North America, but was also settled in Central Europe about 250 years ago. Goldenrod blooms from August to October. Goldenrod is very undemanding in terms of care and also thrives very well in nutrient-poor soils. The goldenrod flowers can be brewed and enjoyed as tea, the taste is slightly bitter.
