Everyone knows valerian, but few know what it looks like and that it also grows in our region. Valerian is a perennial, herbaceous plant that grows wild in the Andes or in Central Europe. It has white to pink, umbel-like inflorescences and feathery leaves. Its flowering period is from June to August. Its botanical name is Valeriana officinalis. The valerian root, also known as Valerianae radix, is used in particular. This is dug up and then gently dried. This is how it develops its typical smell.
Valerian root from controlled organic cultivation. To ensure the excellent quality, the raw material is checked and bottled in our factory in Germany. Free from any additives. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Preparation:
Pour 1 teaspoon into 250ml of boiling water. Strain after 10-15 minutes.
