Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum) is a very characteristic spice with a sweet aroma that is strongly reminiscent of liquorice. Hence the name of the spice, which comes from the Greek word anison and means "fragrance". The anise plant originally comes from the eastern Mediterranean, but is now also cultivated in places like Japan and South America. Despite the similarity in name, anise has nothing to do with star anise.
Whole aniseed from controlled organic cultivation. To ensure the excellent quality, the raw material is controlled and bottled in our manufactory in Germany. Free from any additives and therefore extremely compatible. Suitable for vegans and all those who pay attention to a balanced, relaxed lifestyle.
