Amaranth is a foxtail crop and outperforms most grains due to its nutritional value. In contrast to other flour alternatives, Biotiva Amaranth Flour has a low taste of its own. This makes it ideal for preparing pancakes, potato pancakes or waffles.
You can use amaranth flour like flour, but not on its own. For example, with 1000 grams of grain flour (wheat, rye, spelt), then 100 grams of amaranth flour can be substituted. For best results, swap out 20% - 25% of your normal flour for amaranth flour.
