The marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), also known as medicinal marshmallow or common marshmallow, is a perennial, flowering plant that can reach a height of 50 to 150 centimeters. Its natural distribution area extends from the steppes of southern Russia and Kazakhstan to the Altai Mountains, and in southern Europe from the Balkans through Italy to the Iberian Peninsula. Its root, which resembles a brown, fibrous shell, is often used as a thickener and for making tea. Our organic marshmallow root tea combines sweet and woody flavors to create a balanced taste experience that is convincing both on its own and in combination with other herbal teas.

Preparation:
Pour 1-2 teaspoons per cup of boiling water and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes.
